"Antisthenes says that in a certain faraway land the cold is so intense that words freeze as soon as they are uttered, and after some time they thaw and become audible, so that words spoken in winter go unheard until the next summer."

I wish I could come up with cool quotes like that but I'm not nearly that wise or pithy. Unfortunately, this is all you get.
Well...I've only managerd to use this twice so far today.
Apropos for the West Ccast the last couple of days, isn't it?
GB - I don't think I deserve any kudos for pinching quotes, much less when they come from other websites. It is easy to beguile when you are a petty thief. And why you acting like you are lacking in wit? I read your blog, girl. You've made me laugh aloud more than once.
BH - I missed that!
CH - It has been quite NIPPY! But nothing compared to where I grew up or even approaching the bone deep pain I knew in college in Providence. Ouch! You know it snowed in Texas on the Gulf last week? Crazy.
I have a few friendships that are in the "freezer" and used this to maybe try to start the thaw...
Also used it on a Dream-Post....fit real well....you are amazing.
Reminds me of Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities"
