ooh! dice and shire are excellent. like lock(e), a lot. some espanish permissable - i wrote 'colorado,' after all. but ampersand? that's the ungainliest submission to date! free beer is more harmonious!

aytch - caper... nice!

silly Stitch, I didn't forget whisper. still, your list is great. colloquial - amazing. I have to tell you, I can't get behind babbling (though I've been known to do it). 'brook,' however, is an entirely separate matter.

Well no one can argue with the phonetic harmony of "free beer."
Ain't gonna happen...

Near the eighth corner
On the black asphalt
Replete with tar and sorrow
I make this resolution
To expose this crush upon my soul
In the matrix of this poem.

Leaden filigree gently mesh
With the mischievous gold that resides beneath
In my midnight longings I play criquet
As I dance on and caress verdant Colorado pastures….

My leonine nature will no longer moor with
that grey and torn heroine.
As she ragefully parades, dampening me to remain quiet
And naked without you ….

The smoke from the heroines’ show
Only mirror the ashen fog
Of my caged jaguar hopes
That whisper each growl
Like an expiring Joshua tree

I’ve waited too long to embrace and kiss my life
I’ve starved within the rich larder denying my appetites
I will not allow such charred disquiet through
To penetrate the calm that exists beneath the leaden pool.
